Joseph F. “Chip” Langston Jr., CPA – President, CEO and Director

  • Joseph F. “Chip” Langston Jr., CPA, has served as Buccaneer’s President and CEO since Buccaneer’s founding in 2004.  Besides Buccaneer, from 1984 to the present Mr. Langston has owned and operated Langston Investments, Inc, a company with holdings in oil and gas properties in Texas, USA.  Mr. Langston was a founder and equity owner of Texas Standard Oil Company and of MOSH Holdings, LLC.  He has also founded and served as an officer of Trans-Western Exploration, Inc. and Search Exploration, Inc.  Mr. Langston is licensed as a certified public accountant in Texas.  Mr. Langston also serves as a member and vice-president of the school board for the Kaufman Independent School District.

Michael McLellan, CFA, Executive Chairman

  • Mr. McLellan has over ten years of finance and general business management experience.  He has worked in derivate markets operations with Deutsche Bank in London in 2001; helped to set up the financial systems for the ministries of the new Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh, Scotland in 2002; as an internal wholesaler and sales analyst with Pioneer Investments at its international head office in Paris, France in 2002 and 2003; contributed to the roll out of financial markets information systems with Reuters at CIBC Wood Gundy in Canada in 2004, and has built financial models for and provided advice to several engineering, manufacturing and governmental companies and organisations globally at various times between 1999 and 2005.  In 2005, Mr. McLellan became GFP’s CFO until September of 2007, at which time he was asked by GFP’s Board to assume the position of GFP’s President and CEO to orchestrate a restructuring, which has since been his principal occupation.

Antoinette Lizzi, CMA, Vice-President of Finance and CFO

  • Ms. Lizzi has over twenty years experience in financial and executive management positions in private and public companies.  Ms. Lizzi has been involved in helping the restructuring of several of these companies and has served on several boards of directors.

Non-Executive Board Members

Roman Boyko – Director

Mr. Boyko was a member of L’Ordre des Comptables Agréés du Québec from 1962 until 2008. Mr. Boyko was previously a partner of Coopers & Lybrand from 1983 to 1989 and a partner of  Boyko, Joly Chartered Accountants from 1989 until 2005, where he specialized in Business Interruptions Claims and Litigation, an area in which he continues to work as an independent consultant.

Guillaume Dumas, L.L.B. – Director

Mr. Dumas is member of the Québec bar and has over fifteen years experience in mergers and acquisitions, private equity and asset-based lending.  Mr. Dumas is also a partner of Primatlantis, a specialized lender which made the Secured Loan to GFP.

Mazen Haddad – Director

Mr. Haddad holds a B.A. degree in economics from Emory University of Atlanta, Georgia. Since 2006, Mr. Haddad has been President of Township Capital Inc., a private company the primary role of which has been to administer the Palos Capital Pool, L.P. Since April 2002, Mr. Haddad has been the Chairman of SGI Properties Canada Fund LP, a private real estate investment trust (REIT) focused on residential real estate in Montreal, and a Vice-President of SGI Capital Corp., a private investment company. From September 2000 to January 2002, Mr. Haddad was Chief Operating Officer of Globeam Corp., a company based in Washington, D.C. involved in wireless broadband technology. From 1996 to 2000, Mr. Haddad was Director of Product Management with CTI Data-com Inc., a company principally involved in computer network systems design and installations.

Steven Hood - Director

Mr. Hood graduated from the University of Maryland at College Park in 1972 with a B.S. in Marketing and Economics. In 1983, Mr. Hood formed ABR Information Services, Inc., and employee benefits service centre, which had a successful IPO in 1994. ABR Information Services then aggregated and acquired other companies, and well as maintaining internal growth, which resulted in a successful secondary offering in 1996 with a resulting market capitalisation of US$1.3 Billion. Mr. Hood retired in 1997. Since then, Mr. Hood has invested in several companies through a holding company, Innovative Consolidations, LLC.

John Trosclair, P. Eng – Director

John Trosclair is a petroleum engineer with over 30 years of oil and gas exploration and operational experience, as a drilling and completions engineer and as a manager. Mr, Trosclair is currently the owner and President of both Block T Petroleum and Block T Engineering, which companies provide operational and engineering support on oil and gas properties in Texas Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama.  For example, Block T Petroleum is the operator of record for Kurios Oil and Gas, in Louisianna, for Crossover Resources in Mississippi, and for joint venture properties of Block T Petroleum in Alabama.
